Stanza plans to start charging both for the desktop application and the iphone application once it has figured out all the bugs, and this will prevent the majority of people getting into it. the iPhone App culture expects high quality for a low price, not to be baqck slapped secret extra fees for extra programs to make the thing run on your PC. All I wanted was an ereader that I could download GUtenberg files onto and read directly... they couldn't even get that right. If you had free content, you had to upload it to an amazon intermediary before getting it to the kindle. I guess either I remembered wrong, or it's changed.
