Issue 4 of Panlibus Magazine hits desks and desktops
Issue 4 of Panlibus Magazine was published last week, and should physically be landing on desks right about now. For those who don’t subscribe (let Marketing know if you’d like to), or who want to point at it online, the whole Magazine is once again reproduced as a PDF for you to download.
Over on the TDN, we have chopped the PDF up into its constituent articles for easy reference. See them here, and earlier issues here.
Having watched our sister publication mature and grow over the past twelve months, I feel confident in stating that this one is by far the best yet, with some great articles drawn from across the library domain, all presented in a high quality and clearly designed whole.
All of the articles are worth a read, but I thought I’d just pick out a few that are relevant to recent discussions here on the blog.
- How would you mashup? [pdf] takes a look at the recent Mashing up the Library competition
- Mashups: what would you build? [pdf] features an interview with competition winner, John Blyberg
- Let’s mash it up [pdf] by Tim Hodson looks at the ease with which he integrated Talis Platform web services into his library site
- Widen your marketing horizons [pdf] by Antony Brewerton takes a refreshing look at reaching out to library audiences
- Working in union [pdf] by Grant White asks why library holdings aren’t more easily shared
- Building the Data Commons [pdf] by Ian Davis explains the reasoning behind a simple licence for Open Data
- Time for a change? [pdf] by me, talking about the things I talk about.
