Silkworm

Posted by Richard Wallis at June 20, 2005 12:38 AM

I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front recently. All I can say is blame the Silkworm!

Preparing for, presenting at, and following up on the first Talis Research Day last week has kept me a little busy. Not that I'm complaining. Being involved with this stuff and presenting to an audience that you can constructively debate with is the kind if thing that is really worth getting out of bed for!

So just like Richard Akerman you may be wondering what Silkworm is all about. Well the best place to find out is on the Silkworm site, where you will find the Silkworm Blog & Forums. For a more in depth understanding of the principles behind it I can recommend the Silkworm White Paper[pdf]. Also on the site are the slides presented on the day, plus a couple of screencasts of the demonstrations I made during my presentation.

Paul Miller, who attended, gave a good overview of what he experienced in his recent posting.

Follow the debate on the Silkworm site ....

As I read more about it, it becomes more clear as an Internet services layer. The LibraryLookup discussion made me think it was "just" about directory services.
